PIGMENTS & Dyes

We are one of the known supplier of Pigments & Dyes. We are in marketing, consulting and trading of all types of pigments & dyes as per the requirement or order. Pigments such as ink , plastic ,paint , rubber …etc. Dyes such as leather ,cotton wool..etc.

Pigments

Pigments are important constituents in paints, coatings and inks. They are added to paints and coatings formulations to impart color, bulk or a desired physical and chemical property to the wet or dry film. Are you searching for the right Pigments for your formulation? Explore here, for good quality of various Pigments families used in inks, paints, and coatings. Hence, contact us to select the ideal product satisfying the requirements of your coating formulation.

The color of a Pigments is mainly dependent on its chemical structure, which is determined by the selective absorption and reflection of various wavelengths of light at the surface of the pigment. Colored pigments absorb part of all the wavelengths of light.

Color strength (or tinctorial strength) must be considered when choosing a pigment. Color strength is the facility with which a colored Pigments maintains its characteristic color when mixed with another pigment. The higher the color strength, the less Pigments is required to achieve a standard depth of shade.

Few pigments degrade at temperatures normally associated with coatings. However, at higher temperatures, pigments become more soluble and shading can occur. Thus, for organic pigments, heat stability is closely related to solvent resistance.

Light fastness is evaluated in relation to the whole pigmented system, not just the pigment. The binder imparts a varying degree of protection to the pigment, so the same Pigments will tend to have better light fastness in a polymer than it will in paint.

A Pigments must be insoluble in the vehicle (the medium in which it is dispersed), and it must not react with any of the components of the paint, such as crosslinking agents.

Dyes

Dye is very important for textile sector. Because the fabric are to make attractive to us by dyeing. Dyes that are used by the Textile industry are now mostly synthetic. These types of dyes are marketed power sgranules and liquid dispersion. Now the industrial Textile dyes must rise up to meet all these new and specific technical requirements.

Dyes are economical dyes and are generally used to produce dark shades such as dark greens, dark blues and blacks. Dyes have good leveling and color fastness properties.

The interaction between fiber and dye is established through very strong ionic bonds, which are formed between the anionic groups of the colorant and ammonium cations on the fiber. Chromium or the metal ion acts as bridge between the dye and fiber, which gives rise to a very strong linkage, resulting into excellent fastness properties.
